Personal Mentoring From Mathew Smith

Every team member receives dedicated mentoring from Mat Smith, a nationally recognised physiotherapist, educator, and clinical leader. Mat is actively involved in specialist training through the Australian College of Physiotherapy, facilitates registrar education, and has served as a clinical educator for Master’s-level physiotherapy students at the University of Queensland.

He is also engaged in research with the University of Melbourne, contributes to national committees shaping physiotherapy education pathways, and continues hands-on clinical practice through his role at Manning Hospital, Taree. This ensures his mentoring is not only academically rigorous, but grounded in real-world, high-level clinical practice.

For new graduates and developing clinicians, access to this level of mentorship offers an exceptional opportunity to accelerate clinical skills, confidence, and career progression — all while working in a supportive team environment by the coast in Forster.
